Roberta Jacobson, the United States' first woman ambassador to Mexico, has announced she is to resign amid tensions between the two countries over Donald Trump's plans to make America's southern neighbor pay for a border wall. The 31 year State Department veteran, who has been a vocal critic of the wall, is the latest official to leave during the Trump presidency. During her time in Mexico City, she attended the capital's gay pride parade (pictured), and also championed women's rights. A former Mexican diplomat described her as highly regarded and said she will be missed.
