In a recent project I put OpenWrt on a tiny Zsun wifi card reader. I also needed to install other packages so wanted internet access, but how? The device only has a single wifi connection (although putting an external ethernet jack is possible). The I discovered this method of being able to have the device in two modes simultaneously i.e. connect to an access point for internet and also still being an access point in it's own right.
