In this video I take you for a virtual walk around some different parts of my beautiful home town of Louth, Lincolnshire, including St James' Church yard and to see some of the local pubs on what in a normal year would be a busy Saturday evening on May Bank Holiday (Public Holiday) weekend. Things are very different this year with the COVID-19 Lockdown everywhere in the UK. Saturday nights have been like this for the last 5 weekends prior to this.

May Bank Holiday (Public Holiday) is normally the first Monday of May. This has been moved to Friday, 8th May this year 2020 to coincide with Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day, which marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe.

As the weather was starting to look a bit ropey earlier in the evening then improved, by the time I got out to record this video, sunset was rapidly approaching although the days are long in the UK at this time of year.

Unfortunately with the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic around the world, the whole of the UK is currently under lockdown and people are only allowed out of their homes once a day for essentials including local exercise such as walking, running and cycling. This was my daily exercise walk...

I thought that it would be nice to share the sights of Louth during this unique time for everyone that would like to see the town in Spring but are currently unable to do so.

My gratitude goes out to the NHS and all key workers...

This footage in this video was recorded completely hand held using my GoPro Hero 7 Silver camera and edited with Pinnacle Studio 23. The intro was recorded using an iPhone 6. This time I have recorded the video using 4K / 30 resolution. 4K UHD compatible display and fast internet required to view in full quality.
