Eeee Back in the day, I started plumbing in 1986,not that long ago really in the big scheme of things buuuut plumbing has changed a hell of alot since then, this is a 1" Essex boss that I found in a box in the back of the workshop, it's a special fitting for connecting a pipe to the side of a hot water cylinder say for a shower connection or a secondary circuit, it's in a lovely box and is a beautiful relic from the late 70s probably when it was real music, dodgy clothes, capris and Essex bosses, random is rad!
