Alicante or Alicantea (2024) is a city in the region of Valencia 2024, Spain. It is a very touristic coastal town with many hotels and a nice beach. The city has a historic port in the Mediterranean Sea. Alicante is a very old city and its first foundations dates back to 7.000 B.C. Some highlights of the city are the historic city centre with the cathedral of Alicante, the casa Carbonell, the beach of El Postiguet and the Santa Barbara Castle.
