Got a new Jackson Winter Camo Soloist X Series guitar from GC, it was fine when I got it in playability and such. Luckily it was on sale but not in a sense of being defective. I looked over the guitar is as of late two recent Jackson purchases were dead electronics or defective via online. I buy this in person to weed out any issues I’ve had with Jackson lately, everything checks out. Come the next morning I clean up the guitar, go to restring it and I find to my dismay that the headstock isn’t even painted on but a GD sort of, type of, heat transfer sticker logo setup I assume specifically for this guitar. WTF! So it is bubbly now, as wanting to peel away and shed itself of the guitar. So bad. Thankfully I got it on sale for $300 less than the current $849 price tag but still this is bad on Jackson guitar’s QC effort. With Jackson these days you seem to have to be open to disappointment. Prior to 2020 all my Jackson purchases were great - no issues. Today though I’m bummed. So beware of your dollars spent on this brand Jackson.
