In today's video we take a look at what exactly makes a company, a GOOD company. Not a year goes by where at least one major company isn't in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, namely corporate scandals. In the majority of cases these scandals are the result of "profit-focused behavior" on the part of management. Meaning that the management team have knowingly, in some way, shape or form, sacrificed integrity for profitability.
Because of this, the standard of a company's "corporate governance" is becoming more important than ever and should be a primary consideration of any investor looking to invest their cash into the shares of a given company. So in this video I explain what corporate governance is, what bad corporate governance looks like (using the Boeing 737 Max 8 scandal as a case study) and how to spot good governance when performing your own due diligence over a company.
Remember, there is no such thing as good stocks and bad stocks, just good companies and bad companies.
