💡 Things I wish I’d known when I first started knitting 💡
This week we’ve been talking about blocking. We’ve seen lots of mixed feelings about it, so we want to start sharing a few methods with you. This time around: Wet Towel Blocking.
✨ This is a good method for blocking garments (especially ones made from superwash yarns). One of the best things about this method is that you can really have full control over the finished size and shape of your project. You do all the stretching and adjusting while the garment is dry and then the rest is just helping it to “set” into place.
There are plenty of other ways to block, and some projects really benefit from a full soak and a big stretch (I’m looking at you, lace shawls) so we’ll talk more about other methods soon.
Have you used this technique before? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below 👇
