The Minnesota House recently passed a resolution declaring racism a statewide public health crisis. Representative Ruth Richardson served as chief author of House Resolution 1 and will join us for a conversation about how the legislature and public health leaders can work together to dismantle systemic racism in Minnesota.
Representative Ruth Richardson represents District 52B in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Rep. Richardson is also the Chief Executive Officer of Wayside Recovery Center, an organization that provides substance use disorder and mental health treatment for women.
Rep. Richardson holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
