Kaduna where the catholic priest kidnapped on Monday has regained freedom.
This comes barely 24 hours after his abduction at the rectory of at Charles Catholic Church in Kauru local government area. The Chancellor of the Kafanchan Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo, confirmed the incident in a statement today.
At least Five Priests of the Catholic Archdiocese have either been kidnapped or killed by armed bandits within the last one year.
Rev. Father Udo of St Patrick’s Catholic church Uromi and Rev. Father Philemon Oboh of St Joseph retreat center Ugboha were kidnapped along the Benin-Auchi road on their way back to Uromi in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State on Saturday.
