Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Philippine President Benigno Aquino III in Manila on Tuesday. Wang said China is willing to properly handle all problems affecting relations with the Philippines, including maritime disputes, through dialogue and consultation. Ties between the two sides have strained over the South China Sea issue.
