The city has a lot of interesting things to do - great galleries, museums, modern shopping centers, great hotels, fantastic food....
and just like any other big city, traffic is terrible. Hire a private driver if you are planning to visit the city - don't use public transportation it isn't safe or reliable.

Guatemala, as a country, has a lot to offer including majestic Tikal (where you can appreciate the Mayan history), Lake Atitlan (most beautiful lake in the world), the fantastic and historic Antigua and much more.
