Former US President Donald Trump is taking the Russian collusion “thing head-on” by suing Hilary Clinton for tens of millions of dollars, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Now we all know now, it was nonsense, it always looked like nonsense, of course, but it dominated US politics for years,” Mr Kenny said.

“This led to impeachment proceedings and investigation after investigation, and in the end, while it created maximum interference for Trump and endless fodder for the leftist media, it turned out that it was the purveyors of the conspiracy theory claims who were cooking up the conspiracy theory.

“Now I noticed there hasn't been much coverage of this story yet at the ABC. I only managed to find this one little reference, online.”

Mr Kenny said one reason the ABC would be “embarrassed” is because they wasted taxpayers' money on the Russia collusion story through various different reporting, “misleading Australians” and “fully backing in the mad Russian collusion delusion”.

“Instead of pretending Vladimir Putin had designs on the White House, they might have done better to spend our money interrogating Russian's aims over Ukraine.”
