Hello everyone!
Welcome back to Toronto Pearson Int'l where I am super glad I woke up early on Saturday morning. A mere hour to make it but this yielded one of the rarest catches of the year and quite possibly the very first visit of an Antonov An-26 to Toronto from Vulkan Air. This bird was previously seen at Montreal-Mirabel but I didn't think it would ever come to Toronto.
Low and behold, Vulkan Air VKA150 was enroute Saturday morning from Houston to Toronto where it landed on RWY 24R and parked at stand 509 at the Cargo West. It quickly became apparent that the visit was a gas and go and the flight crew filed out shortly after to Gander under the same flight number. They then departed off of RWY 23 roughly an hour and a half after landing. Enjoy the video of this awesome prop!
All the best,
Ernest G.
