Come discover Aztec Ruins National Monument. We enjoyed exploring the ruins which date back 900 years (1100 AD). We hiked the Aztec West Trail, which is a 0.5-mile loop through the ruins. There are over 500 masonry rooms in the area. Aztec Ruins National Monument is a fee park and is NM is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. It is only 1.5 hrs from Mesa Verde National Park in southwestern Colorado.
