This video captures the dynamic behaviour of ovarian stromal cells as they grow, divide, and move in a petri dish.

Can you spot the dark patches within the cell bodies? These are vacuoles, which may be linked to steroid production in this cell type. The membrane dynamics of the cells as they probe and move through the environment are also fascinating to observe.

The dry mass of these cells was automatically quantified using Nanolive software, and the increase allows us to determine the rate of proliferation.
