Anda Union is a feature documentary providing a rare insight into a forgotten land on the furthest edges of China, home to more than 6 million Mongolians. The film follows Anda Union, a ten strong group of young musicians, as they make a 10,000km journey through the grasslands of Inner Mongolia to discover the roots of their hauntingly beautiful music. The film is a celebration of their passion for their culture; from wild parties to moving stories of sacrifice, from the intimacies of pastoral life to the harsh realities of the city; from performing for goat herders in the Grasslands to performing to over 2000 people live in Hohhot City. As with all nomads the Mongols have an oral culture, passed on generation to generation in stories, music and songs; Anda Union sing their history.
