Snake... on a train! 😲 Passengers on a Shipley to Leeds service were in for a fright when the animal was seen slithering up and down the carriage 🐍
People climbed onto their seats to avoid the bright orange reptile, believed to be a corn snake. The RSPCA arrived at Leeds train station on Saturday afternoon (July 22) to collect it, and confirmed it is harmless!
They added that it will most likely have been abandoned on the train, but that it could have slithered on itself.
The RSPCA recently issued a warning to snake owners in the UK to keep their animals’ enclosures securely fastened - because snakes can become more active in hot weather.
