In 2011 we swapped our annual fishing trip from Coral Bay, WA, to Port Fairy, Victoria, on account of a phenomenal run over the last few years of giant "barrell" tuna over 100kg. The lead up was looking good with large numbers of barrels being caught off Apollo Bay which we were happy to travel to. However we got shafted with the weather and sea conditions which restricted us to a couple of days only and Apollo Bay wasn't an option. We had a heap of fun though and caught a few school size tuna of 12-15kg
