Visit to Rivington Pike - 26th April 2024

Rivington Pike and its tower located on the West Pennine Moors can be seen from miles around. It is 361m (1,200ft) above sea level and offers spectacular views. In clear conditions from the tower you can see the Cumbrian Fells in the Lake District, Blackpool Tower and the Isle of Man. Rivington Pike was the site of a beacon, a bonfire built and lit at night used to send warning messages in times of danger
