Walking tour of streets in Seoul!

Today’s video is a first-person perspective walk tour to Gangnam’s Bongeunsa Temple. Located in a busy city block surrounded by skyscrapers in Gangnam, Bongeungsa Temple is a very peculiar site. Built in 794 during Silla Dynasty, it has seen the rise and fame of Gangnam for more than 1000 years in its location. I went down south on Yeongdong-daero and made a right turn towards Bongeunsa Temple on this beautiful yet chilly spring day of April.

Bongeunsa is a Buddhist temple located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu in Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 794 during the reign of King Wonseong by the monk Yeon-hoe (Korean: 연희), then the highest ranking monk of Silla, and originally named Gyeonseongsa (Korean: 견성사; Hanja: 見性寺). It is located on the slope of Sudo Mountain, across the street from the COEX Mall.

The temple is a notable tourist destination, offering "Temple Stay Program" in which visitors can lead the life of a monk for a few hours.

The area on the main street from the Temple to Park Hyatt Hotel, has a large concentration of vegetarian and other upscale restaurants that serve Korean cuisine with a modern twist. The day of Sansa begins with dawn. The Buddha has a sense of respect for the Buddha and a sense of looking back on his performance. Buddhist pilgrimage is not simply a visit to Buddhist temples, but a way of experiencing and learning Buddhist traditions and cultures. Zen is a representative practice of Korean Buddhism, which is based on the controversial ideology and reveals the heart and soul. It is a program to experience various traditional cultures linked with the historical characteristics of temples. Bowwu is a rice bowl used by a Buddhist monk in a temple, meaning "a rice bowl containing a proper amount of rice." The meal that the monks call to the Buddhist temple is called the Buddhist temple offering.
