This song was inspired by Chief Spence of the Attawapiskat First Nation and her fight against the apathy of the Canadian government towards First Nations communities in Canada. We pride ourselves on being a progressive country, but the repeated marginalization of First Nations communities here is horrific. We acknowledge that this video was filmed on unceded Indigenous Land.
