NEW VAULT SESSIONS: Marcus & Marvin King
In this episode, Marcus King and his father, bluesman, Marvin King swap licks and talk about their influences and their family’s heirloom guitar, a Gibson 345 affectionally named “Big Red”.
There is a staggering list of guitars and amps used in this episode— 1958 Gibson Les Paul Burst, 1952 Copper Fender Esquire, 1957 Aqua? (a one-of-a-kind color) Fender Stratocaster, 1958 Natural Korina Gibson Flying V, 1977 Dumble Overdrive Special, and Todd Sharp JOAT20— all of which are on display at the Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
These sessions also help keep the music alive by helping the Songbirds Foundation raise money to buy guitars for kids…check out our page to find out more.
