Austin Police Department (APD) has released video footage that shows their encounter with a man they say was aggressive and holding a knife. APD is working with the Office of Police Oversight and the Travis County District Attorney's Office to release the video.
Austin Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon outlined exactly what happened on the day of the officer-involved shooting to provide transparency and context to the public. Police released three body cam videos, a car dashcam video, and a 911 call.
