The Uttar Pradesh government presented its case against the Alt News founder Mohammad Zubair in Supreme Court and said that Zubair used tweets to incite and not to inform. The Supreme Court bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud is hearing the petition filed by Journalist Mohammed Zubair seeking to quash the FIRs lodged against him. Earlier, the apex court had directed the UP Police to not take any precipitative action against him over his tweets till July 20. The UP police had registered FIRs against him for allegedly calling three Hindu seers- Yati Narasinghanand Saraswati, Anand Swaroop and Bajrang Muni as 'Hate mongers'. Watch the video to know more.
