Dr. Aboitiz discussed her book, 'Asian Place, Filipino Nation: A Global Intellectual History of the Philippine Revolution, 1887–1912' (Columbia University Press, 2020), which examines the Philippine Revolution of 1896–1905 through consideration of its transnational political setting and regional intellectual foundations.
Nicole CuUnjieng Aboitiz received her Ph.D. in History from Yale University. She is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, and Executive Director of the Toynbee Prize Foundation. She is originally from the Philippines.
