Teen Darwaza, is a historical gateway, on the east of Bhadra Fort, and on the west of jama Masjid, Ahmedabad, gujarat, India.
built by sultan Ahmed Shah I, immediately after the foundation of Ahmedabad in 1411 A.D, and completed in 1415 A.D.
The gateway has three arches, height of the arches is, twenty-five feet.roadway in the central opening, is 17 feet wide, and that of each side arch, is 13 feet wide. On the east and west of the gate, It has highly decorated buttresses, on the faces of piers, between the arches, small recesses with carvings on stone, decorate with motifs of flowers, and geometry pattern design, this type of carving on stone, can see on Minarets of many stone Masjid's, of Ahmedabad.
there is a hidden stairs, in one cell Chamber, go to roof. stair was build of stone, and going to roof in round style, with a narrow space, There is a terrace over it, On both the sides, there are three balconies, There was a roof over the gates, which was removed in 1877 A.D, now At present, the terrace is open.
A lamp in one of the niche, of तीन दरवाज़ा is burning there, for more than six hundred years, by a Muslim family in a dedication, to the legend.
