Restoration work is in progress at Ponneri and Kavarapettai railway stations, located 46 km from Chennai, where 12-13 coaches of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Express derailed following a collision with a goods train yesterday evening. While no fatalities have been reported, 19 people were injured and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
