I think it's time for a bit more torque for the BRZ. Driving the Kentucky backroads was both a rewarding and frustrating experience. Here's why - Handling/braking on this car is perfect for my purposes right now. Power wise, the BRZ is a blast for daily driving, and very good on track because you can really wring it out. But on a backroad, it kind of falls on its face because there isn't really a lot of power where you need or want it (midrange). Don't get me wrong, it's more than fast enough to have some fun, and even get into some trouble, but it doesn't feel that fast because of the way it delivers the power. It's an interesting observation, because this is literally the first weekend I've had the car on a backroad and have never had this complaint (as much) elsewhere.
I think it's finally time to try out headers and a stage 2 tune. I'll report back with any updates! Right now I'm thinking Nameless/Cosworth 4-2-1 stepped longtubes...
