Mark Johnson, a former teacher at Page High School in Greensboro, has been charged with sex offenses against children.
Johnson made his first court appearance Monday via video. Johnson is facing one count of statutory rape with a child under 15, which has a maximum sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
He also faces two counts of indecent liberties with a child, both with a maximum sentence of 59 months if convicted.
Johnson is also facing one count of a statutory sexual offense, which has a maximum sentence of life without the possibility of parole if convicted.
