THREE OFFENDERS WERE ARRESTED IN ATTENTION DIVERSION (SELLING FAKE GOLD) CASES UNDER THE LIMITS OF PS CHANDRAYANGUTTA IN CRIME NO: 184/2021 U/S 420, 379 IPC

A2 Tirupathayya S/o Janaf age: 25 yrs Occ: Farmer R/o: H.No: Hakkipikki, Rayalpad mandalam, mudumurgu Panchayat, Kolar Dist, Karnataka state.
A3 B Indraju S/o B Ram Naik Age: 27 yrs Occ: Driver R/o: Jainagar, Palempalle, punganur, Chitoor Andhra Pradesh.

Brief facts of the case are:
On 21-04-2021 at 1430 hrs hours received complaint from Sri K Vijay Kumar R/o:18-13-9/50/2/C, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Patel Nagar, Bandlaguda, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad he is into the business of booking online bus tickets named KLA Logistics & Bus Ticket booking business. Last month unknown person booked a bus ticket from him and also given his visiting card. Later on 09-03-2021 that person called him on his mobile number and said that while digging the land at Mysore where he found gold. As he had his visiting card, he called him and informed about the gold and asked him to purchase it. After four days i.e, on 14-03-2021 at about 04:30 PM the said person came to Katta Maisamma temple, MM colony, Bandlaguda with gold ornaments by contacting the complainant over his phone. They showed the gold ornaments and took four gold pearls pieces from the ornaments and given it to him to check the gold. Immediately he went to the gold shop in the locality and confirmed it as gold he later made a deal to purchase the gold worth 17 Lakhs. Later after 10 days he took out the gold for making new ornaments and went to the gold smith and there he came to know that this is not real gold. He came to know that he was cheated by selling him the fake gold ornaments worth Rs.17 lakhs.
After registering the complaint, police were formed (02) teams headed by 1) Sri. K.N Prasad Varma, DI and 2) Sri. Ghouse Khan SI & Other staff of PS Chandrayangutta to detect the case. Today i.e., on 24-04-2021 accused persons A1 to A3 were apprehended at madanapalle, AP on credible information and were brought to PS Chandrayangutta.
“Modus operandi: The accused persons collect visiting cards from hotels restaurants and travel agencies and trap them by making phone calls to them. The accused persons make fake gold ornaments using small bearing metal balls gold coated at the same time they also make some real gold balls of the same size. They trap innocent people and make them believe that the gold is real by giving them real gold balls and asking them to check the gold quality and when they believe it to be the real gold they give fake gold ornaments made of gold coated metal balls and take huge amount from them by diverting their attention.
The apprehension was made under the supervision Dr. Gajarao Bhupal DCP South Zone and Sri. Mohd. Majeed, ACP Falaknuma by Sri. Rudra Bhasker, SHO Chandrayangutta, Sri. K.N Prasad Varma, DI, Sri. Ghouse Khan SI & Other staff Sri. T. Prashanth PC 2370, B Praveen PC 30806, Venkatesh Goud PC 4235 and Y. Nikhil Sai PC 30319 of PS Chandrayangutta.
