On the occasion of the 30th Independence anniversary of Eritrea, Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam, Eritrea’s permanent representative to the UN, hosted a virtual meeting of fellow Ambassadors to the UN to mark the occasion.
Eritrea UN hosted a virtual reception 2 celebrate #Eritrea's 30th Independence. H.E. Minister Osman Saleh, Minister of FA, delivered the keynote address. Mr. Samir Sanbar who served as Special Envoy for the referendum in #Eritrea joined for an evening of friendship & solidarity
Among those present at the virtual event were, Amina Mohammed who is the Deputy Secretary General of the UN, Cristina Duarte the Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on Africa at the Office of African Affairs, Ms. Fekitamoeloa Katoa Utoikamanu the Under-Secretary-General and High Representative UN-OHRLLS, Ambassador Fatima Kiyari of the African Union Observer Mission, H.E. Munir Akram, PR of Pakistan and President of ECOSOC and many others. All the attendees had conveyed their respective country’s message of good will to the Government and people of Eritrea on the occasion of Eritrea’s 30th Independence anniversary.
