Male Chimpanzees Island at Chester Zoo
This well established group of Large Male Western Chimpanzees Pan Troglodytes Verus are seen here patrolling their island.
There are currently as of 2022, 7 Male chimps in the single chimp group at Chester Zoo
This Chimpanzee Video features a compilation of all of the Male chimps, who are as follows:
Boris - The oldest chimp at the zoo - Wild born in 1966,
Wilson - Born at Chester Zoo in 1968,
Nicky - Born at Chester Zoo in 1969,
Friday - born at Chester Zoo in 1976,
Dylan - the currant Dominant Male Chimp, Born at Chester Zoo in 1987
Eric - Young Adult Male Chimp Born at Chester Zoo in 2003
Carlos - The Youngest Adult Male Chimp, tipped to be the next dominant male chimp, Born at Chester Zoo in 2005.
You may be familiar with some or all of the chimps featured in this video, as they have appeared in the popular nature documentary series, shown on TV called The Secret Life Of The Zoo.
This animal documentary series was first aired on TV in 2016 and has run for 10 seasons from 2016 - 2021
