Capitol Reef National Park is one of Utahʻs Mighty Five national parks. It is certainly the least known of Utahʻs national park jewels, but it is a geological giant in terms of the scale of itʻs features.
National Park ranger Cindy Micheli gives us a four-minute overview of a park that is so big and remote you can spend months exploring and barely scratch the surface.
This is the heart of the Canyon Country - red rock cliffs and giant geological formations like the Waterpocket Fold, Strike Valley, the Capitol Dome for which the park is named, and the historic Morman town of Fruita.
