On a Superb and warm early summer afternoon, towards the fag end of a nice meet with RF friends, this beautiful clash of TKD WDP4Bs amazed us. Running slightly late and hurrying towards its destination, 12435 Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express led by TKD WDP4B 40013 charged ahead. While I was recording this, I seemed to hear what sounded like another EMD, coming from behind. A quick glance over my shoulders while still keeping the frame fixed towards the east end of the station, I realized the Shramjeevi Express bound for Rajgir was coming towards us. I decided to give the SJ a slip as it was still far away from the station. In no time, the DBRT Rajdhani thundered through the station, raising dust and lashing out aggression probably for the last time before settling to a sedate run between the Yamuna Bridge and NDLS. As the Rajdhani passed us, I could hear the EMD leading the SJ express rush away towards Ghaziabad from the other side. If not a perfect clash, I managed to capture a decent meet between the two trains. This was one of the most cherished videos of that day. 12435 Rajdhani Express is a bi-weekly service connecting Dibrugarh Town and New Delhi. Touted to be the slowest Rajdhani, it passes through some highly important towns and cities like Guwahathi, Jalpaiguri, Begusarai, Chhappra, Varanasi and Lucknow.

12435 departs DBRT at 19:20hrs on Mondays and Fridays, arrives NDLS at 13:55hrs on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Covers 2459kms in 42:35hrs at an avg of approx 58kmph. Belongs to NR.

12392 Shramjeevi Express is a daily service connecting New Delhi and Rajgir. Its a Composite Express Train, meaning running as Superfast for a part of its journey and as a slow express for the rest of it. Shramjeevi Exp runs as SF between NDLS and Patna Jn. [PNBE]; and from PNBE to RGD is an ordinary exp. Earlier it used to run between NDLS and PNBE connecting to another exp between PNBE and RGD, but was later extended to RGD with the cancellation of that other express.

12392 SJ Express connects Delhi and Rajgir via Moradabad, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Patna and Bakthiyarpur.

12392 is a daily service, departing NDLS at 13:10hrs every day and arrives RGD at 10:10hrs the next day, covering 1102kms in 21hrs at an average of nearly 53kmph.
