Session Abstract -
Just announced at Build Conference 2022 Power BI "datamarts" are a new major feature that will potentially change the way we ingest and model data for Power BI users. In this session we'll take a first look at datamarts, discuss how they are intended to be used and build a basic datamart using the NYC taxi dataset stored in a datalake.
Biography
Greg Nash is Principal Consultant for Dear Watson Consulting and has 20+ years of technology operations experience across a range of industries, more recently Greg has been working heavily in the world of Power BI since it's release in July 2015. Greg's obsession is Power BI development practices and understanding how to build consistently good reports for other people. In 2020, Greg was awarded Microsoft's Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award and has been renewed in this program every year since then. You can easily find Greg in LinkedIn as the "Power BI Unicorn" or check out his "Power BI Lunch 'n' Learn" Series on Youtube where you will find talks on various Power BI topics like Power BI Adoption and Power BI Development practices. Greg also offers developer mentoring, consulting and development of Power BI solutions to organisations of all sizes.
