HENRIETA’S HUB TALKSHOW in Association with District 127, Region 8 🔵🟢🔴

During the run up to the 22nd October 2024 when Toastmasters International will officially be celebrating its 100 year anniversary, Henrieta’s Hub in association with District 127, Region 8, will be conducting a TalkShow.

Theme: Lead on. Lead far. Lead boldly

where we’ll be interviewing various Toastmasters within the District to get their perspectives on Communication & Leadership.

On Monday 30th September 2024, we were fortunate to get 5 Toastmasters on our Show.

They were:

🔵DTM Dr. Abdul Sathar the current District 127 Director

🟢DTM Gaurav Paul from Desert Voices Toastmasters Club

🔴TM Kush - The Immediate Past President of JLT Dubai Toastmasters Club

🔵TM Sujata - The current President of JLT Dubai Toastmasters Club

🟢TM Shavonda Renee the Vice President (Education) of JLT Dubai Toastmasters Club

The TALKSHOW was conducted at Pullman Hotel, in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai.

The 5 Toastmasters gave a stellar performance.

Thank you very much for gracing us with your presence and making our FIRST Talkshow a phenomenal success.

The Talkshow was conducted soon after the Club had just finished their Annual Debate Contest titled ‘The Great Debate’

JLT Dubai Toastmasters Club Excom did a fabulous job organizing a very well run Debate Contest.

Debate 1: ‘Remote work is more productive than in-office work’

Debate 2: Artificial Intelligence will replace more jobs than it creates’

The winners in Debate 1 & Debate 2 then went onto participate in the Final Round; topic ‘Social Media does more harm than good’

Brilliant performance all round.
