Sound of Place Series no.1
This is the first video in the 'Sound of Place' Series where I bring the pan to sit in sacred nature spots and see what flows from the spirit of nature and the spirit of music speaking in synergy through my being. Sometimes it's solo sometimes I am collaborating with others.

It's a gift and honor to listen humbly in this way.

Nothing is rehearsed or replayed. It is the purity of in the moment flow and inspiration. Listening deeply to the unsung song...something emerges that is ego-less and formless yet is full of new textures and inspirations borrowed from the past and repurposed for the moment.

I look forward to continue these while I travel and roam this gorgeous orb we call home.

I awoke at 6:30 I saw the mountain call to me as it was being bathed in beautiful end of Summer light.

I felt so excited and compelled to grab my instrument and hike to the top to take in the magical views and feel the cool air signaling autumn is on its way.

This was a totally improvised handpan offering that unfolded in the moment on an amazing new handpan-an Eb La Sirena Kabeçao edition by Yishama Pantams.
