Westport Builders' Director George Diab says "we're really suffering" after the tightening of restrictions saw construction halted across Greater Sydney.
Mr Diab spoke to Sky News host Chris Kenny about the latest COVID-19 restrictions implemented in New South Wales amid the extended lockdown.
It comes as the construction industry across Greater Sydney has been shut down for two weeks by the state government, in a bid to stem the spread of the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
"It was a great shock when we got told we need to shut our sites down," Mr Diab said.
"It was really unexpected".
