Ghost spam, AKA referral spam, log spam or referrer bombing, is the issue of fake referral traffic showing up in your Google Analytics account. This is traffic generated by spam bots visiting your site, with the intention of enticing you to click on the spam link when you wonder what the source of the traffic is.
