I will periodically select a random cocktail from this book until I've made them all. I draw them randomly from a tiki mug I bought at Frankies Tiki Room. If I need to go buy something, or make a syrup, I'll do it! We can search for ingredients together.

The first drink drawn happens to be the very first listed in the book, the "Ah Foo." (they're in alphabetical order for the most part) I'll show you how to make date syrup, and we'll shop for some of the ingredients.

The Ah Foo calls for Pusser's Rum, but I started too late in the evening and wasn't able to find a bottle locally, so I used Appleton Rum.
