Näcken or the Näck, "the naked one" in Swedish, is a mysterious creature or water spirit that inhabits lakes, rivers and streams from Nordic folklore.The näck is also sometimes referred to as Strömkarln "river man" or "current man" and also known as spelmannen "the fiddler" and the bäckahästen " the Brook horse" in Swedish. And Is even clothed in certain traditions and not naked. This video will explain some of the folklore, myths, traditions and legends regarding this mysterious creature from Sweden. A creature that is far from being only a simple monster but might even have been the remnants of older Gods.
