While Netanyahu continues to mount offensive against Hezbollah, The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him. Reacting to this, Netanyahu's office said the ICC decision was "anti-semitic" and he will "not yield to pressure, will not be deterred" until Israel's war objectives are met. However, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei feels arrest warrant is not enough and he called for ‘death sentence’. Notably, Israel’s ex defence chief, as well as a Hamas leader, Ibrahim Al-Masri, were included in the warrant for alleged war crimes against humanity. In their decision, the ICC judges said there were reasonable grounds to believe Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant were criminally responsible for acts including murder.
