Erik Drewniak will never forget the day doctors told him that a variant in one of his genes could explain an undiagnosed disease that led to awful fevers he endured his whole life. He feels honored that his genetic sequencing results and diagnosis helped spur the creation of the Pediatric Genomics Discovery Program (PGDP), which aims to uncover genetic underpinnings of previously undiagnosed diseases in children.
