Dolphins spotted on a boat trip to Llanddwyn, Anglesey. On our adventure boats trips sometimes we get lucky and we spot dolphins. This is normally fun the summer months and on our longer trips were we get out of the Strait and into the wide open sea.
On this 'Castel and Islands' trip you will have the best view of Caernarfon Castle. Going to Abermenai Point we pass the historic Napoleonic Fort Belan, with its row of cannons, over Caernarfon Bar, a shifting sandbank. Past the beautiful sand dunes of Newborough Warren we arrive at Pilot Cove, Llanddwyn Island. It was here in the fifth century that St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of friendship and love, a bit like St Valentine, founded a convent on the island.
With luck we will spot seals, possibly dolphins, then head back to Menai Bridge.
This 2 our trip costs £45 per adult.
