Compassionate leadership is the awareness that we manage people, not robots. It's understanding that our people have lives outside of their work, external influencing factors, that affect them and how they show up each day.
When we demonstrate compassion as leaders, it encourages our people to really want to show up. We recognise that they have other commitments, in addition to their work, that may need to take priority sometimes. When we accommodate these, then our people are more focussed on their job when they're there.
