COVINA (CNS) - A woman killed in a head-on collision between a semi tractor and a Toyota Corolla in Covina was publicly identified Saturday.
Amelia Hemaratanatorm, 45, died from multiple blunt-force trauma, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called at 1:58 a.m. Thursday to North Lark Ellen Avenue and East Cypress Street where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
Witnesses at the scene said the Toyota crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and was struck head-on by the semi. Hemaratanatorm was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP was investigating the death.
