More than 60 people including 14 police officers and 49 royal guards have so far been confirmed dead in Kasese District in western Uganda, following an exchange of fire between royal guards of a traditional king and the Uganda people defence forces. The King, Charles Mumbere is being held at a kampala police station for allegedly defying presidential orders to disarm his guards. This as Ktn journalist Joy Doreen Bira secured her release, after being arrested in Kasese for what police have now termed as abetting terrorism.
