In this video we talk about how the temperature affects the amount of sparks coming off the brake pads when racing. We also cover what it means if the pads stop sparking and how that affects the performance of the pad. Typically the pads will spark more at low temperatures and as the pads and rotors come up in temperature they will spark less. As the temperature of the pads increase the coefficient of friction increases and the friction is now relying on the pads compound rather than the cold bite ingredients to provide the control you need. So just because the pads are not sparking as much doens't mean they are glazed or not working, it just means you are finally getting them up to a normal operating temperature. In one of the next videos we will talk about how you can tell if the pads are over heated and possibly glazed. What it means and why it happens.
