There is no question that Eliot Ness what a great American. He battled Capone and the Chicago underworld in the heady days of Prohibition. His efforts left a noticeable dent in the Outfit's operations. He then moved to Cleveland, where he served with distinction as Public Safety Director, establishing the "safest city in the USA." His death, however, has been the cause of some speculation. Today's guests help separate fact from fiction.
Beth Armstrong is a Cleveland historian and Ness biographer. Through her efforts, Ness' ashes were spread in a memorial pond at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
Scott Leeson Sroka works as an investigative attorney for the Office of the Attorney General, NSF. He is the grandson of Untouchable Joe Leeson, who served at Ness' side in Chicago.
